Dr. Jim Miller

Dr. Miller was born in Rochester, MN and lived in Chicago, IL and St. Louis, MO prior to moving to Granada Hills in 1965. He graduated from Granada Hills High School and Cal State Northridge and then attended the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California at Davis. He worked at Pet Medical Center as a veterinary assistant prior to admission to veterinary school. Following graduation (in 1974), he did an internship at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. He was then in private practice in San Diego for one year before returning "home" to Chatoak in 1976. Dr. Miller is married and has a grown daughter and son. His volunteer work in the community includes over 15 years of service to the North Valley Family YMCA. Outside of work he enjoys snow skiing, waterskiing, woodworking, and more recently, golf.









Dr. Don Morshead

Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Morshead attended the University of California at Davis, graduating from the School of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. Following a one year internship at South Shore Veterinary Associates in Massachusetts, he completed a surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He joined the staff at Pet Medical Center in 1980, after having been in private practice for two years in Newport Beach.   Dr. Morshead is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Board-Certified in Surgery). His special interests are knee surgery, fracture repair, and laser surgery. He has two grown sons. Outside of work, he and his family enjoy hiking, backpacking, travelling, golf, and skiing.










Dr. Linda Jackson

Dr. Jackson was born in Los Angeles and attended Cal Poly Pomona for her undergraduate college education. She worked as a technician at Pet Medical Center for 5 years, prior to entering veterinary school. After beginning her veterinary school curriculum in Dublin, Ireland, she transferred to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University, where she graduated in 1995. She has been on staff at Pet Medical Center since 1996.   Dr. Jackson's special interests include feline medicine, feline and canine dermatology, and the feral cat spay and neuter program. She is married and has two young sons. Her family and her pets (2 dogs and 4 cats) occupy her free time.










Dr. Mary Ann Wertenberger

Dr. Wertenberger was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and grew up in Fullerton, CA. Following graduation from Cal Poly Pomona in 1980, she served in the Peace Corps for two years. She worked as a Humane Society officer in Tampa, FL, prior to entering veterinary school. She graduated from the University of Florida School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988, after which she completed a one year internship in the San Francisco bay area.   Dr. Wertenberger has been on the professional staff at Pet Medical Center since 1989. Her special interests are emergency medicine and surgery. She enjoys hiking and exploring California's deserts and natural scenery. Her dog, Orbit (5 yrs. old) is a Miniature Schnauzer).  Dr. Wertenberger is also a new Mom...... her son Michael was born in October.










Dr. Rebecca Florio

Dr. Florio was born in Chicago, Illinois. Following her undergraduate education at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and the University of California at Davis, she entered the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis and graduated with her D.V.M. degree in 1993. She spent three years in private practice in Grover Beach, CA and Tehachapi, CA before joining the veterinary staff at Pet Medical Center in 1996. Her professional interests include general medicine and soft tissue surgery.  In her spare time, Dr. Florio enjoys doing long-distance horseback riding.









Dr. Susan Ofsie

Dr. Ofsie was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After a one year internship in Sacramento, she decided she loved the warm California weather. She and her husband permanently relocated to Los Angeles, and she has been on staff at Pet Medical Center for the past seven years. She enjoys both general and emergency medicine and surgery. Her outside interests include hiking, sailing, and singing/acting.










Dr. Jason Kim

Dr. Jason Kim was born in Seoul, Korea and graduated from Kon-kuk University in 1989 with his D.V.M. degree. He spent 5 years in private practice in Seoul. He came to the United States to practice in 1997. He had worked at local veterinary hospitals in southern California as a technician. He then attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University for his Academic Review Program and subsequently finished a one year training program at the Louisiana State University College of Veterinary Medicine for his license to practice in the United States. He joined the veterinary staff at Pet Medical Center in 2005. His professional interests include veterinary dentistry, acupuncture, and herbal medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Kim enjoys swimming and golf.
